TVI: Fruta Feia also mitigates climate change
At a time when "pollution continues to increase, the overexploitation and consumption of natural resources continues and we have reached the largest number of endangered species in history", Fruta Feia appears, among other initiatives, as an exemplary project which contributes to mitigate climate change, through reducing thousands of tons of food waste due to appearance, as well as reducing the waste of the resources used in their production: water, soil energy and soil.

Fruta Feia at Barcelona
In the 30 of May we joined the conference "Reducir el desperdício, alimentar el planeta" at Barcelona. We shared the work of Fruta Feia and, side by side with projects such as Boroume from Greece, and Espigoladors and weSAVEeat from Spain, we tuned the new politics against food waste in Catalonia.
Thank you Foundation Banc de Recursos for the invitation and the possibility to participate in these colective work sessions, where we were able to discuss the 30% of ugly fruits and vegetables annually wasted by the farmers!
